Virgo Dessert: Gâteau Mille-Crêpes with Lemon

This is the eighth creation in my zodiac dessert series where I design a delicious dessert for each sign.

This is for Virgo.

A special version of the classic simply dressed crêpes with lemon and icing sugar, this crêpe cake is layered with lemon cream and garnished with candied lemon spirals.

A feat only the meticulous and analytical could tackle. 25 crêpes were made with precisely measured batter poured and swirled at a specific angle and speed, then cooked at the perfect temperature for a certain amount of time. They are then layered with delicately spread identical portions of cream. A virgo would complete this cake like they would any school assignment - exceptionally well.

As skilled writers and editors, and lovers of a refined system, a Virgo wouldn’t hesitate to add a novel of recipe notes, or just re-write it all together, to eliminate all unnecessary information while clarifying the important details. Virgos are great at assembling, piecing together patterns, Tetris, packing a small suitcase, or anything that requires a sharp mind and order. This cake could seriously take a chill pill though. Virgos aren’t known for their ability to relax and go with the flow, and this dessert is no exception.

Virgos don’t see the need to reinvent the wheel (what a terrible waste of energy) and opt for updating and elevating. This cake could be easily more extravagently adorned but a crisp straight edge and a touch of elegant candy is all it needed. Virgos are known to be cold and aloof, and this cake couldn’t be less interested in any more adornment or frivolous details.
