Salted Whiskey Caramel Edibles
My friends are obsessed with these lightly dosed, chewy, salty pieces of perfection.
Yield: 30 (1.5 m g of T H C each)
Salted Whiskey Caramel Edibles
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp water
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup 35% heavy whipping cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 Tbsp whiskey
- Oil, 50 m g of T H C worth - check on product package for dosage*
- Flaky salt
Instructions
- Line standard loaf pan with parchment.
- In a medium sized pot, add sugar and water and whisk until mixed. Cook on medium heat until you reach 320F, or until light caramel in colour. About 5-10 mins. Do not stir once the heat is on, but you can gently swirl the pot.
- Add butter and cream immediately, and pinch of salt. It will sputter, be careful.
- Cook until 240F, about 5-10-mins.
- Add vanilla, whiskey, and oil, and whisk well. Pour into loaf pan.
- Cool for 30 minutes, then add flaky salt.
- Let sit for 3-4 hrs. Cut into 30 pieces with an oiled knife and wrap candies with wax paper. Label and store safely 🙂
