Crystalized Flowers
Crunchy eye candy that makes the perfect garnish!
Make sure to research if a flower is edible before consuming. Some of my favourites to use are pansies, nasturtiums, chamomile, lilac, and forget me knots.
Crystallized Flowers
Ingredients
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 c white sugar
- 1 cup edible flowers
Instructions
- Carefully brush any dirt off the flowers.
- Using a small paint brush, brush egg white onto the flower petals making sure to cover the whole surface. You can hold the flower with tweezers to make this easier.
- Sprinkle white sugar over flower covering the whole surface. Lay on a piece of parchment.
- Let flowers dry for 24-48 hours and then store in an air tight container.
